The picture criticizes today's irresponsibly profit-seeking media who disregards public safety.
Nowadays, advertisers are allowed some leeway in describing products by using some ambiguous words. However, in some cases, the media simply broadcasts some advertisements and news that contain factually wrong statements without carefully censoring. A case in point is the milk powder scandal that broke many years ago, in which top-quality products claimed in the advertisements turned out to be unqualified ones with toxic additives, resulting in many malnourished infants and even death. Undoubtedly, manufacturers should be widely blamed for the crisis, but the media could not abdicate responsibility for it fails to play the role of supervision.
