W: So you're an actor, George?
M: That's right. When I left school I went to a drama school, then I started working as an actor.
W: What do you like most?
M: Oh, working in the theatre, definitely. When I started I was with a small theatre company. I worked all over the country in small theatres doing plays. It was hard work, but I enjoyed it.
W: What other kinds of work do you do?
M: Oh, lots of different things. Last year, I did a lot of television dramas. I was in a police detective story, and in Casualty, a hospital drama series. I'd like to do some television advertisements sometime, too. You can earn a lot of money doing these.
W: What are you doing at the moment?
M: I'm working on a film. It's a love story. It's very interesting. I'm still learning a lot about the filming process.

M: Where are you from, madam?
W: I'm from a small town near Vancouver, Canada. What about you? Is that a Swedish accent I hear?
M: I'm from Stockholm. I'm impressed you knew my accent.
W: My grandparents are Swedish. So I have this booklet with the rules and regulations. It looks like there are a lot of them.
M: Not really, there is an attempt to keep the place quiet and tidy. The quiet policy is in effect from 11:00 pm until 6 : 30 am. You are not allowed to smoke or cook in the rooms.
W: So do we all use the same kitchen?
M: Yes, and we generally all do our own cooking, although sometimes on Sunday night, we do a pot-luck then have leftovers for a couple of days.
W: Is there a storage area?
M: Yes, in the basement.
W: I can't think of anything else. Is there anything we haven't covered?
M: Hmm. Take extra care not to lose your room key and always lock your door. It's a 15-minute walk to the Housing Society to get another room key. It also costs $5.
